The Crew Changed Over

Brannoch Vell bellowed down the Foundry lamp-floor for the bellows crew to change over before the glass cooled, and nobody argued, since the last shift had burned its fingers twice that week. The fresh crew came up the iron stairs with sleeves still rolled from the cellar, and by the seal the floor was warm again. Nobody mentioned it afterwards, which in the Foundry means it went well.
