A Note for Nell Pascoe

A folded note sewn into the lining of a net-mender’s glove crossed the Antswarm’s boat at Lanyon Ferry, carried by Bryony Tolmie for Nell Pascoe on the Fishpond lamp-floor. It held only a few words in a careful hand: the boots are paid for, and no one at the gate will ask where the coin came from. Bring the receipt to the bank before the next Book turns.
